Decision Time

When Steven was little he said to us, "I'd like to make a mecision", we said "what is a mecision?" And he responded, "You know when you get to make a choice." We said, "oh you mean a decision!" Our family has had a lot of "mecisions" to make the last 18 months. When David's Uncle Junior died, it was very hard for us to be so far away in Utah. Dave really missed being involved with high school sports and his friends and family here in California. Moving to Utah was a little bit of a culture shock for us, as far as sports and church related relationships.
Anyway, in October of 2008, Dave was offered a job with a little bit of a pay raise, so we thought, and prayed, and up until the hour before we had to decide what to do. Still unsure if we should take the job or not, but decided to just take the job. So Dave went to California the next month, and lived in a hotel for 7 months. We tried to sell our house, if you have been reading this blog you know the story.
Here we are the beginning of March 2010, and Dave just accepted an offer from his job to be the District Sales Manager for Region 5, which includes some of our favorite spots, Colorado, Arizona, Vegas, St George, and maybe Reno area. So we have let our renter's know that we will be moving back to Utah in July. We are trying to let our family know, and I am not sure how many of them read this blog, but I am sure the word is spreading like wild fire.
We love California, but we love our children more. Our kids have really suffered here, their grades are not what they were in Utah. They have friends here, but it is different in Utah. They don't feel like school is a prison in Utah. It just has been a collection of things that have helped us realize that we need to be in Utah with our kids. We may one day, when our kids are grown, come back to California.
I love my husband, I would do anything for him. I love my kids, and would do anything for them. I am so thankful for all that we have, we really are blessed. I hope that everything with our family will work out, that hard feelings and sadness from us moving again will be resolved. We truly are excited to see my family, and maybe even see my dad with some of the travel to Colorado. I know we made the right Mecision!
