Okay, so all you people who know how much I love doing Family History research. I have loved being able to find other distant relatives that are members of the church. And this has only been made possible through the family search modifications. I absolutely loved Elders Nelsons talk, at General Conference about using the resources to avoid duplication of work. And to also connect and collaborate with other relatives. I have found quite a few "new" relatives that I can share doing research and ordinance work with. This is truly the fulfillment of the scripture in Malachi "Behold I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: and he shall turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse." I have been reading in the scriptures how the prophets in the Old Testament when they saw what was to come, like Enoch and Noah, and also in the Book of Mormon; Nephi, Jacob, Enos, asking the Lord to protect the generations to come from hardships by some promise given from our Heavenly Father. To give us the future generations something of a protection. Enoch asked that some of the people could be preserved. Noah was promised that we would never be wiped out with a flood again. Nephi and Jacob and Enos, all asking that the records be kept for future generations and their brethren to have the teachings of the fullness of gospel. I am so grateful for a young boy who decided to find out what he should do, what church he should join, and knelt in the woods to ask in faith, nothing wavering. And received a glorious answer. He saw God the Father and his Son. Amazing and True. And because of this we have the ability to be sealed together as families for all eternity.
I can't wait to show my dad how much more research I have been able to do. I am so grateful for the wonderful technologies that are afforded to us to use to link our generations.
